After twenty-five episodes of podcasting, the crew is taking a break. That's right, for the month of September (and potentially October) the team will be working on a bunch of things to upgrade and improve the quality of the show. Most of our ideas are outlined in this week's episode, featuring a casual chat between Bryce, Carmelo, and Sandro the cameraman. We do have some surprises on the way, so stay tuned for our return, we'll be back before you know it!
Joining us for the first time, QUT students! Bryce and Carmelo interview Kai Giovanni and Reuben Haigh, both first-year students studying Film and New Media at QUT. Listen in as they compare and contrast the experiences of their respective universities.
This week's guests are Cole Forfang Phan and Will Smith, two composing students studying at Griffith Conservatorium. Bryce and Carmelo have the pleasure of interviewing them about composing music in Winton, working on scores with film students, and what inspires their music.
Covid won't stop us this time! We pre-recorded this episode, featuring Lawrence Greene and Krathyn White, two second-year GFS students, and both mature-aged students too. These wise guys impart us with some wisdom, and reflect on their lives before uni.
Also, we have our first round of audience questions. If you like the segment, let us know in the comments!
Carmelo returns! And this week, he and Bryce are interviewing Andy Nehl, a celebrated Australian screen producer (among other things), currently working as head of TV at Griffith Film School. Listen to his stories about the screen industry, and 1st-Years should tune in for some handy tips about working in the TV Studio!
The live on-set podcast strikes again! This week, it's from the Griffith Screen Society's screening of the 2021 episodic series, which they played at New Farm Cinemas. GSS were also kind enough to let us steal some of the talent behind Final Girl, an episode of from the Horror series, as well as more guests from Ain't It Fun (the comedy series) for some quick interviews. Enjoy!
P.S. Sorry about the sound, it was quite noisy in the lobby.
On this very special episode of the podcast, Bryce interviews as many crew members from Crackpot as he can before he runs out of camera storage. This particular Grad Slate had wrapped production only an hour prior to recording, and the sounds in the background are of the set and gear being packed away. We won't get to do this kind of recording again anytime soon, so enjoy!
This week, Bryce and special co-host Ethan are joined by Ani Parry and Nathan Simmons, the very first 1st-year students from Griffith to be interviewed! Tune in to hear their stories from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year film sets!
A little later than usual thanks to COVID lockdown, Bryce interviews Ethan Stuart-Hensley, Madi Lee, and Ethan Larkin. These three have all just returned from an outback filmmaking bootcamp in Winton, Queensland. Tune in to hear their stories of writing scripts and making short films in the outback, as well as some other crazy tales!
On this weeks episode, Carmelo and Bryce are joined by fellow second-year Griffith Film School students, Connor Sharpe and Adam Schneideman. They discuss their experiences working together on set, and some external projects as well.
